Lest We Forget...

Sandy Brook Elementary Newtown, Connecticut
December 14, 2012

I absolutely refuse to even think of the name of the…person… who took the life of these people.

I would much rather remember the names of the women and children whose lives were taken way to soon.

The 20 beautiful and innocent children as well as the 6 wonderful angels who sacrificed their lives to save the others.

My Next Big Thing

Hi! Welcome! Today is a treat! This is our very first blog promo for our book, Under The Australian Sky, book 1 of the Love Across Time series, contracted to MLR Press and due to be released in January 2013.

So really our, The Next Big Thing, is our first big thing! :D We were tagged in Jen's www.authorhenwright.wordpress.com/ Next Big Thing blog.

I hadn't heard of the Next Big Thing until recently and I jumped at the chance to be included. So I have to answer 10 questions about our book, our Next Big Thing, then I need to tag 5 other authors who will continue the chain next week.

So without further ado...

What is the title of your book?

Under The Australian Sky, book 1 of the Love Across Time series

How did you come by this idea?

Jordan: Now, are you sure you really want to try and look into my chaotic mind and try to figure out how I come up with a story. Honestly the way I come up with stories would leave you scratching your head. (Yes, believe me it leaves me scratching my head and saying WTF? From time to time!---Angel)

I was talking with my partner (waves Hi from Angel) about ideas with a holiday theme figuring everyone would come up with the typical Christmas or Halloween stories and believe me when I say you don't even want to know the rejected ideas. (No you don’t! They cause me shudders just remembering them! – Angel)

The open call for an Australia Days submission came up with MLR Press and after much debate between modern and western stories, we decided to have a cupid repair lost love. At the time it wasn't intended to be a series but Christian just doesn't seem to be happy with only getting one book. (We just can’t seem to write a one book story. They always morph into series! LOL – Angel)

What genre does your book fall under?

MM Time Travel Romance

Which actors would you choose to play your characters if it were a movie?

Christian: Cesare Season 2 (in leather) (The Borgias - Francois Arnaud)
Jack: Ian Somerholden (with long hair)
Ethan: We're not 100% certain, (we'll know him when we see him), but I keep imagining Tom Burlinson from Man From Snowy River movie.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

What would you do if you suddenly found yourself transported back in time?

Will your book be self-published or traditional?

Traditional, by MLR Press

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

Not long, about 3 weeks I think...

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

Jordan: I like to think we are unique in ourselves. If I had to choose a book to compare it to though I would have to say that it would be the Viking time Travel romance novels by Sandra Hill. I also enjoyed This Time For Keeps by Kathleen Kane. Both authors probably influenced me the most in writing Under The Australian Sky.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?

We wanted to do a spin on time travel and cupid, plus see if we could incorporate real life disasters into Happily Ever After stories.

What else about your book might pique the reader's interest?

Sex, Sex, and more Sex? Alright, Jack is the tall, dark and handsome love 'em and leave 'em playboy that you want to have meet his match.

Ethan is shy and quiet, the rugged cowboy that everyone falls for.

I think everyone wonders about their true love and how far we would go to find that one special person. Throw in a bit of humor, a lot of sex and you have Under The Australian Sky.

Christmas Giveaway

Hi guys and welcome to our blog!

I'm trying to think of ways to promote our blog and get the word out there that we're here. :D

We have our first book set to be released next month, YAY, and I am want to promote. I'm going to let this run all this week and a winner will be picked next Monday.

So, for my first ever giveaway is the following:

1 (kindle format) copy of Tara Lain's new book:

Snow Balls

Big, handsome and hunky, JJ LaRousse looks like an alpha male but acts like an interior decorator. And he’s trying to be happy about it -- until a robbery at the famous Laguna Winter Fantasy brings JJ face-to-face with tough cop, Ryan Star.

JJ hears Ryan likes guys who are manly men, so he drops his voice an octave, colors over his pink hair, and tries to pass as a football fan. Ryan Star may be tough but he hides in the closet at work since he learned in New York that being a gay cop can cost you your life.

His attraction to that big, handsome kid threatens his anonymity, but he can’t seem to resist. JJ is just his type. But then JJ goes skiing and comes face to face with his greatest nemesis-- and all the secrets come out of the closet.

Can Ryan love JJ for who he really is?  More important, can JJ?

To win:

follow or join, comment being sure to leave your email and next Monday a winner will be selected.

Happy Holidays and have a wonderful week!

Projects

It's been a while... lol

We really didn't have anything to update until just recently, but I do have some good news to share...

1st: Faelon book 1 in our Forgotten Touch series has been contracted and we are waiting on the 2nd    round edits to be sent back by the editor.

We Do have the book cover and everyone who has seen it has all but drooled over it. I admit, he is a sexy nephilim!

We will keep you informed on the progress and the release date!

2nd: Under The Australian Sky book 1 in our Love Across Time series has also been contracted. We have just sent the 1st round edits back to the editor, so hopefully we will be hearing something soon.

Under The Australian Sky is part of an MLR anthology centering around Australia Days.

Once we hear a release date, we will update the blog. :D

3rd: The one we have been working on the longest, Marco, has also been contracted. It is book 1 in the Marco trilogy. There are only 3 stories planned for Marco but we think you will enjoy meeting Marco and going through the drama surrounding his life.

This is only in the first round edit stage as we are waiting to hear back from the editor. But we will update the blog when we are closer to releasing it with a date.

That's it for now, but I will be stopping in and updating the blog more now that we are having progress!

Have a wonderful week!
